Writing an Animal Disaster Plan for your county

An Animal Disaster Plan is the first step towards assuring a coordinated response to a disaster in which animals and their owners are affected. SMART has developed a County Animal Disaster Planning Guide (PDF file), and a County Plan Template (word document or rtf file) for communities to use to guide development of effective Animal Disaster Plans. (Both are appropriate for towns/cities to use as well.)
